PJ is better defined as “clasp-less jewelry” meaning each piece is custom fit to the body and welded shut leaving it “permanent” until you decide to remove it.
(No, we do not weld it directly TO your body.)
No! We can add a clasp closure, free of charge, instead of welding the piece closed.
No! We use a leather patch to protect your skin from the weld point. The weld is a "micro-weld" and emits a very small spark that you'll miss if you blink. (But never look at it anyways, we have glasses for that). ;)
Quick! We book 15-20 min appointment time slots.
No*! We use premium chains that are specifically designed for permanent jewelry and resistant to tarnishing.
Tarnish resistant, however, does not mean that it won't need to be cleaned. We recommend a gentle scrub with jewelry cleaner and a soft bristle brush and/or polish with our polishing cloth to restore shine whenever needed.
*PLEASE NOTE: Our "Charm Bar Collection" is our fashion jewelry line and generally comprised of lesser quality materials than our permanent jewelry and will tarnish over time if exposed to water which is why we provide a clasp for these pieces. Although many charms and our chains will hold up just fine if exposed to water, we recommend taking it off to shower, swim, sleep, etc. to extend the life of your piece.
Yes! That is the best part of permanent jewelry.
We have found, however, that sterling silver styles are more prone to oxidation after extended use of spas and pools that are improperly chemically balanced. In the event that you see "tarnishing" or even a "green ring" on your skin from this a gentle scrub with our jewelry cleaner and/or polishing cloth will restore the silver to its original shine and remove any unsightly discoloration of the skin. Good as new!
Our chains are premium quality specifically designed for permanent jewelry and long term wear. To meet the needs of every client we carry a wide variety of options including Stainless Steel, Sterling Silver and 14K Gold Filled. Solid Gold is available by request only. Please contact us in advance.
Gold-filled jewelry is made by mechanically bonding solid gold to a base metal, often sterling silver or brass. The gold layer is significant, and is permanently bonded to the base metal with pressure and intense heat. Because of this permanence, you won’t get any flaking or peeling. If taken care of, gold-filled jewelry can last as long as solid gold, or longer. (Solid gold is softer).
Life happens, we get it. Chains are permanent but not indestructible and, like other jewelry, can break for a variety of reasons including but not limited to children tugging, catching on clothing, flexing/bending at joints, etc. If the chain breaks at the welding spot, we will re-weld for you. If the chain breaks elsewhere we will do our best to repair the chain for you for a small fee.
NOTE: We do not replace, reimburse, or refund lost chains.
If you need to remove the chain for any reason simply cut the chain with a nail clipper or scissor at the jump ring/connection spot. We will re-weld the chain for you if removed properly.
In most cases, yes. We do, however, charge a $15 re-weld fee*.
*Waived with the purchase of a new chain.
Your jewelry, like any other piece of jewelry, may require cleaning from time to time. We recommend a gentle scrub with jewelry cleaner and polish with our polishing/cleaning cloth to restore shine.
All jewelry sales are final. In the unlikely event that your chain breaks or is removed we will do our best to re-weld it for you!
NOTE: we do not replace, reimburse, or refund lost chains.
